7 billion - top ten list

(note: the top ten list works by ten being the least important and one being the most important. As the number gets closer to one, it becomes more important.)

11.) To eat less meat is more reasonable than telling people to have fewer children.

9.) Population is not the cause of global warming
People can’t change the climate, so how does the increasing amount of population connect with global warming speeding up? Therefore the increasing population does not have relevance and is not the cause of global warming.

With the increasing population, more and more people will end up living in slums and providing them with good housing and education will be a challenge. Without education they will bound to have more children and without good housing they will fall victim to diseases. This will be an undying cycle unless it is solved.

When there are a lot of people with fewer resources available there is a tendency for competition. It is a trend we can observe over the last centuries. People will fight over these resources which would cause a big fight such as a war and/or genocide. With war mechanizing and improved dramatically over the last few years where we now have bombs than can destroy the whole world it is predicted that if World War 2 happens, war will be much more violent and countries could be literally blown off the map. The world could end. Most of the population will come from developing countries such as Africa where bad medical care will cause health problems and when they migrate those problems will spread causing worldwide diseases and health issues. Since we use a lot of resources without much care, the earth will be much polluted than it was.

Developed countries consume an excessive amount of resources meanwhile the third world countries which with a higher population needs more resources; consume a small amount of it. Wealthy nations are taking advantage of the poorer countries and thriving while the poorer countries lack resources to meet people’s needs which will cause hunger and starvation. It is tough to see whether there will be resources left for future generations if we continue to consume large portions of resources each year. However, emerging economies are catching up fast on the amount of resources consumed.

People live longer because of science and medical advances but they will always need food to survive. Food is produced by crops and water. But what if the food produced does not meet the demand that requires it? What if we can only provide food for a certain amount of people and the rest are rest are left starving? The demand of food is increasing but the supplies we are producing do not meet the requirements. Also thinking further ahead, Earth has less than 2% of clean water and what if this water finishes? How will we grow crops or get healthy water to drink?

Birth rates and death rates used to be balanced but better health care, sanitation, and medicine allowed higher life expectancy and people generally lived much longer than they usually did. The death rates decreased and so did the birth rates but there is still much larger birth rates than death rates. This means that we have much more people being born than dying which means that the population is increasing dramatically. Population grows by 80 million each year which is huge, and if we go on with this current rate we are bound to have 33% more people in this planet within less than fifty years!  To solve overpopulation, one way would be to balance the equation, or in other words equalize birth rates and death rates. When Russia had low birth rates, they paid women $11,500 if they had a second child, and this worked. So a solution to combat high birth rates could be that the government pays a certain amount of money to women that had less than 2 children or a one child policy like China might work pretty well.

In third world countries, a family usually consists of an average of six kids compared to the two kids of western countries. Birth control is not available, and these people have not received sex education so they do not know the harms of unprotected sex. They think producing more children will help earn the family more money and be able to help around the house, so they keep producing more children. Some women are also raped, and health facilities are poor and without medical help. The populations of these developing countries are growing dramatically and in the future they will make up a big part of the world’s population unless this situation is dealt with. These third world countries are mostly the poor African nations whose population has rose over 54% in less than 50 years.

Birth control and education must be available to women who need to have more access in decision making and her voice must be counted. Women must be able to choose how many children she has, and with education it is likely women will have lesser children. Population increasing comes down to girls we must deal with giving them more rights, contraception, birth control, and hopefully they will produce less children. If girls around the world adapt the trend of western countries, than the population is bound to stabilize and not increase so dramatically.

1.) Population is increasing exponentially, and we will consume more resources than the earth can support
There will always be more human than food available which would mean people would starve and be without food. Estimates of almost 1 billion people are without food each day, and as population increases dramatically, we will need more resources to consume. We already lack these resources, and the shortages will increase causing huge competitions for resources other than food which are bound to cause problems around the planet. Population is increasing but the resources we have are not increasing with it. it took earth millenniums to reach a population of 1 billion, but just 200 years to increase it to 7 billion.

How to make history- Boss

There are many ways to make history and make your name remembered in time. Making history often brings fame, money, and attraction. Each person has their own specialty and interests and if they use their passion to make history, they might be successful. But the hard part is finding what to do and how to do it in order to make history. The names of people that you can think of the top of your heads such as Gandhi, Zuckerberg, and Jesus Christ have all made history and everybody knows who they are when you mention their names. They no longer require and introduction. Their names are known throughout mountains, and rivers and it extends to every country. As you can see by all this men, in order to make history you must do something that is big, has a large effect, and will change the way the world works forever. Sounds hard doesn’t it? It’s not that hard to be honest. It all comes down to whether you are brave enough to challenge your mind to think big. Thinking hurts, but it grows neurons. Once you can think of something, it all comes down to whether you are brave enough to risk doing it or standing up for what you believe. High risk, high gain.
If you are good at sports, and enter the world of sports such as a professional soccer team, you might get famous and go on television. After you retire, people might still know you’re name and remember how good of a player you are, but do you honestly believe that after a hundred years, people will still remember your name? No, they won’t because what you have done hasn’t changed the world, or had a large effect on it. You aren’t as important as you think so you will not make history. You will not be remembered after a hundred years unfortunately. All the sports players who are so famous now such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Rafael Nadal, and Kobe Bryant seem like they are very famous because all your friends know who they are. They will be remembered for maybe fifty more years, but after a hundred years what they have done isn’t significant and they will be forgotten. Another great player will be remembered and then forgotten, its just a matter of time. Therefore being good at sports and making a name for yourself puts you in the history books for a short-term but not long-term like Jesus Christ and Mahatma Gandhi who will always be studied, always remembered, and always famous. Sports therefore are not a good choice if you want to make it into the history books long-term like those two great people.

All great people have left traces of what they have done which is why they will always be remembered and always be in the history books. Adam Smith’s law of economics is seen today in our modern economy. Jesus Christ’s religion of Christianity is the world’s biggest and most followed religion. Mahatma Gandhi gained independence for India and they have him to thank for their independence they enjoy today. To make history, you must do something big, something where traces will still be found in the future. Something with a significant effect and changes the way of life. If you want to be remembered after you die, you must do something unique that nobody has done before and that thing must be big and important.

If you want to be remembered, you can start a religion. If your religion becomes popular with lots of followers, over time it will continue gaining popularity and you will be credited for starting the religion. You will be the father of that religion and be remembered. But however, if you aren’t a religious person you can invent something. Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, Thomas Edison created the light bulb, the Wright brothers invented the airplane, and all these inventions changed the world significantly. The airplane enabled faster travel and trade. International business was made possible, and the way people spend leisure changed forever. The telephone is the base for communication far away and it made communication much easier. Without the light bulb, we cannot work at night, our lives and time would change greatly. At night, we would all not be able to do anything productive because we can’t see well enough therefore we have less time to do things. All these inventions are really important in our lives today which are why people know these names and study them. So if you are a creative person, try inventing something. If you fail during the first time, don’t worry, because all these people fell a few times. You cannot succeed without failing first, and the faster you fail, the faster you can get up, learn from your mistakes, and succeed. A wise man once said “If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the hard that makes it great” – Tom Hanks. Another wise man said “don’t look at the difficulty in an opportunity but look at an opportunity in a difficulty”. Another man said “Difficult things are meant for awesome people”. All these quotes are true; You shouldn’t feel scared but instead know that you can do it and that the opportunity delivered itself to you cause you can do it. You can invent a new way of communication, travel, or education. “If you’re going to think anyway, why not think big”? Why limit yourself? Don’t be scared to think big. The bigger your idea is, the more important and significant it will be. These are just two ways you will make it into the history books, there are many more.
Another thing you can do is to always speak your mind and stand up for what you believe is right. You may come up with a theory for the way government is supposed to work, or a new discovery about science. Don’t be scared to try and fail. You can run for president and do something really big or really bad. If you go to war or invade another country, you may not be remembered as a good person, but you will still be remembered. Bin Laden made it into the history books, that don’t mean he is remembered because he did only good things. Bad things you do can be significant and important too, so if you are really desperate to make it into the history books, this can be an option although I wouldn’t recommend it. If you believe in something, stage a revolution. Fight for what you believe, spread your ideas.
What about creating a brand? A brand like Nike or Adidas? A company like apple, or benz? These companies have been created  a long time ago and are very popular today. However, you must make sure your company is the number one producer and the most popular company when it comes to the product. Because if it isn’t then you might not be remembered.
What I want to say is that, think big. Don’t be scared to fail. Fight for what you believe with the end in mind (making it into the history books). One step at a time, you can do it. If you want to be remembered, you must cause a significant change in this world through an invention, idea, or event. Good luck, your journey starts now. Don’t keep waiting for tomorrow, start today and work towards your goal. Don’t let anything distract you, believe you can do it, and you will be able to. You have a choice, the more significant effect what you did has on the world, the more famous and remembered you will be. If you do a small thing that has a small effect, you might still make it into the history books, but your name will not be common and most people will not know it. It is up to you; “You are the master of your fate, you are the captain of your soul."
